Yesterday was a little bit scary (at least to me). RevivalLifestyle.com was offline for approximately 8 hours! Many of you, who wanted to access the site ended up seeing only this screen:
Here’s what happened (the brief and easy version). So I launched a new website for my business yesterday on my server and somehow accidentally overwrote the settings for this website with the settings of the new one. When I realized what just happened I was shocked. Was I going to be able to restore it? What if not? It was like one of these near-death experiences, you know, when people say they saw a little videoclip of their entire life shoot by in front of their eyes. I saw a video clip of the short life the revival lifestyle community has had so far. I remembered how I had the vision for this site years ago. How I launched it this July while visiting my Family in Germany and put countless hours into creating content that would hopefully encourage and empower revivalists all over the world. I remembered the first comments and email that started coming in from you guys full of encouraging stories and testimonies. After a few emotional minutes I sat down and started talking to a lot of Indian Tech Support guys. Luckily the Lord connected me with an specialist, who was to restore the website after a few hours! Whoooo! I took the chance to release some words of knowledge of this guy and tell him how much God cares about him.
Here are 2 things I learned from this:
1. I really love the revival lifestyle community. I’d miss you guys, your comments, emails, stories and feedback. Seriously! I mean I’m really doing all this to build a platform of encouragement and inspiration for every-day revivalists like you and me all over the world. This website is not a one-man show. I want to feature your stories and articles, hear your opinions, experiences and simply get to know you.
2. You shall not mess around with Server settings, if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing (or are led by the spirit of course).
